“The Southern Style” hive is perfect for beekeeping in states with short winters. A warmer climate extends the beekeeping season so you can open the hive to add boxes earlier in the year. The ability to add boxes whenever necessary means you don’t need to have a dedicated second Amish-made brood box. “The Southern Style Plus” set up gives your queen a brood box and part of the first medium super to lay eggs. The second super would house their honey.
